Income Limits

GSFA DPA Programs

Income Limits

Income limits for the GSFA Down Payment Assistance (DPA) Programs are determined by the type of First Mortgage and the County in which the property is located. The income limit is based on qualifying income (the income used for qualifying purposes) only.

Please refer to the tables below for details. If you have additional questions, please Contact Us.

NOTE: For Income Limits applicable to the ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance (DR-HBA) Program, refer to the Program Policies in the DR-HBA Lender Participation Guide.

FHA, VA and USDA Loans

GSFA does not set limits for FHA, VA and USDA loans.

Please refer to the respective loan agency guidelines for any applicable income limits that may apply.

Freddie Mac Conventional Loans

For the income limits on Freddie Mac Conventional Loans, please use the drop-down menu below to select the County where the property is located.

*Note: Borrowers with income at or below 80% Area Median Income (AMI) have more attractive pricing and reduced MI (Charter level coverage). The calculation of 80% of AMI is provided above for reference purposes.
